The Estonian ice cream maker Balbiino has started export to Russia, dispatching the first truckload or 5,280 liters of ice yoghurt and natural sorbet for Russia's first Boost juice bar that is to open soon.

The export of yoghurt ice cream to Russia was largely made possible by the Balbiino team's cooperation with Boost juice bars in Estonia, sales director Meelis Puvi said. In February the company delivered the first consignment of ice cream also to Denmark.

Balbiino will supply the Boost juice bar to be opened in St. Petersburg with mango, vanilla and strawberry-flavored ice yoghurt and natural sorbet. These products are currently used in cocktails by Boost juice bars in both Estonia and Germany.

"Boost as an international chain fosters exports to new markets by the Estonian Balbiino as a reliable and high-quality producer," manager of Estonian Boost juice bars Robert Tohver said.

Export accounts for 26 percent of Balbiino's revenue from sale of own production. Russia became the company's seventh export market after Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Ireland, Germany and Denmark.
