Estonian banks had 1.96 mln online banking customers at end of April

Estonian commercial banks had 1,959,746 internet banking customers at the end of April and the number of customers of telephone banking was 936,087.

Compared with the end of March the number of internet banking customers was bigger by 7,052 and of customers of telephone bank by 4,365.

Swedbank's internet bank had 952,176 clients and contracts for the use of telephone banking services numbered 562,095 at the end of last month. The number of online banking customers increased by 1,606 and that of telephone banking customers by 3,326 during the month.

Users of SEB Pank's internet bank for private individuals numbered 580,234 and of the internet bank for corporate customers 74,342, marking increases by respectively 1,245 and 659 during the month. The number of users of SEB Pank's mobile bank rose by 160 during the month to 97,318 while the number of telephone bank clients declined by seven to 9,162.

The branch of Danske Bank had 174,912 internet banking and 156,625 telephone banking customers at the end of April, respectively 169 and 150 more than a month earlier.

Nordea Pank opened 812 new online banking accounts in April and the total number of accounts at the end of the month was 110,887. All customers of Nordea's online banking services automatically have access to telephone banking services.
